§ Mr. Perkins
asked the Postmaster-General what are the difficulties standing in the way of negotiations between the 2073W postal authorities of this country and Eire with regard to the establishment of an air-mail service; what steps is he taking to surmount these difficulties; and what are the prospects for the establishment of such a service?
§ Sir W. Womersley
It is hoped that negotiations with the postal authorities of Eire as regards this matter will begin shortly. Pending the result of those negotiations I am unable to forecast the prospects of a service, but the matter will be pressed forward as rapidly as possible.
