Griffithsasked the President of the Board of Trade whether he is aware of the fact that the exports of tinplates, steel sheets and ancillary products from this country have declined from 486,990 tons in the first six months of 1937 to 273,723 tons in the same period this year; what are the main causes for this reduction; and what steps he proposes to take to assist in the recovery of this important export trade?
