Mr. LindsayDuring the year 1936 32,936 children in public elementary schools in the area of the Lancashire County Council were examined at routine medical inspections and the nutrition of 10.83 per cent. was assessed as excellent, 80.86 per cent. as normal, 7.94 per cent. as slightly sub-normal, and 0.37 per cent. as bad. The corresponding figures for 1937 are not yet available.
