HC Deb 09 February 1938 vol 331 cc1081-2W
Mr. R. Gibson

asked the Minister of Transport whether, with a view to popularising among the inhabitants of Edinburgh and district the forthcoming Empire Exhibition in Glasgow, which will close each night not earlier than 10 p.m., he will represent to the two railway companies operating between Glasgow and Edinburgh the desirability of putting on trains to run from Glasgow to Edinburgh at 10.45 p.m. or later, there being no train at present leaving Glasgow for Edinburgh after 10 p.m., at which time the Empire Exhibition will still be open?

Mr. Burgin

I have communicated the hon. Member's suggestion to the railway companies concerned, and will inform him of the result.
