§ Mr. de Rothschildasked the Minister of Agriculture whether he has considered the decision of the Great Ouse Catchment Board that the financial position of the board, both present and prospective, precluded them from proceeding further with the comprehensive scheme for the improvement of the main river, unless the Government were prepared to give a larger measure of assistance than had so far been promised; and whether he will enter into consultation with the board with a view to devising a scheme of finance which will enable the board to proceed with this essential work?
§ Mr. W. S. MorrisonI have received this morning from the River Great Ouse Catchment Board a copy of the resolution relating to the outfall scheme passed at the meeting of the board held on 27th January, and referred to in the hon. Member's question. The matter will receive my consideration.
