§ Mr. Donnerasked the Minister for the Co-ordination of Defence whether the consideration given last year to the question of erecting State explosives factories has led to the formulation of any definite conclusions; and, if so, will he make a statement?

Friend that as a result of the consideration that has been given to the question, plans for the erection of State explosives factories have been developed, and that six such factories are either in the course of erection, or about to be erected. Plans for other factories are under active consideration.
