HC Deb 21 December 1938 vol 342 cc2895-6W
Mr. Ritson

asked the President of the Board of Trade what exports of coal to foreign countries have been exported from each of the North-east ports of Blyth, the Tyne, Sunderland, Seaham, and West Hartlepool during the period from 1931 to 1937, respectively?

Mr. Stanley

The desired information is not readily available and I am afraid it could not be compiled without a considerable expenditure of time and labour, but particulars of the amount of coal exported from individual ports of the United Kingdom to British and foreign countries in the aggregate are published in Volume IV of the "Annual Statement of the Trade of the United Kingdom." The issue of this Volume for 1937, which will contain figures for each of the years 1933 to 1937, will be published, I hope, in the course of a week or two.
