asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will state the quantities of malt, unmalted grain, rice and maize, sugar, etc., and hops used in brewing during the year ended 30th September, 1938, and the number of bulk barrels produced?

The quantities of materials used in brewing and the number of bulk barrels of beer brewed in Great Britain and Northern Ireland duing the year ended 3oth September, 1938, are as follow:
