§ Colonel Nathanasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs on how many occasions correspondence between His Majesty's Government and His Majesty's representatives, diplomatic and consular, in China has been censored and/or delayed by the Japanese military authorities; and what action His Majesty's Government has taken in regard thereto?
§ Viscount CranborneI understand that there has been no case where the Japanese military authorities have censored or delayed correspondence between His Majesty's Government and His Majesty's Representative in China, though some official correspondence has been delayed in common with ordinary 277W mails through interruption of normal services. The situation in this respect appears to have improved.
