HC Deb 25 November 1937 vol 329 cc1421-2W
Mr. T. Morris

asked the Minister of Health whether his attention has been called to the intention of the Glamorgan County Council to promote a Bill to provide for an alteration of statutory requirements in the administration of public assistance in the county; and whether, in view of the fact that the regulations which are to be changed were imposed by Parliament on the country as a whole, his Department is in favour of any piecemeal action of the kind suggested?

Sir K. Wood

I understand that the Glamorgan County Council have decided to promote a Bill for the purpose indicated by my hon. Friend, but I have not yet seen the Bill. As soon as the Bill is available, I will examine it with a view to considering what report (if any) I should make to Parliament upon it.
