HC Deb 25 November 1937 vol 329 cc1422-3W
Mr. L. Smith

asked the President of the Board of Trade what was the estimated value of the invisible exports of this country for the last year for which figures are available; and whether any estimate of such exports has been formed in respect of the first half of the current financial year?

Mr. Stanley

For the year 1936 the invisible items entering into the balance of payments showed a net credit of about £330,000,000. It is not practicable to furnish any similar estimate for the first half of the current financial year.
