The number of Coal Royalty Owners is approximately1058W 4,300; the total number of assessments to Royalties Welfare Levy for the financial year to 31st March last, was 6,500, and the net receipts of the levy were £182,516. I am informed that, in regard to 43 of these assessments, levy amounting to £773 is still unpaid, but some of them are not yet agreed and may be subject to reduction when finally settled.
