HC Deb 18 November 1937 vol 329 c592W
Major Procter

asked the Minister of Labour whether he will consider the making of a national appeal and the setting up of a King's Roll or Roll of Honour for the purpose of enlisting the co-operation of employers in the re-employment of persons over 55 years of age?

Mr. E. Brown

The suggestion made by my hon. and gallant Friend is not free from difficulty, but I have it in mind with others, in my consideration of the problem of the older unemployed. As I indicated in my reply to the hon. Member on the 4th November, I have not yet completed the inquiries I am making.
