HC Deb 10 November 1937 vol 328 c1781W
Mr. R. Gibson

asked the Minister of Transport whether he will consider the suitability of the old Caird shipyard in Greenock as the terminus for a cross-channel traffic ferry suitable for the conveyance of motor traffic carrying visitors who wish to tour the Western Highlands of Scotland, and to confer with the parties concerned with a view to establishing this ferry?

Mr. Burgin

I had not previously heard of this proposal, and in the absence of any details I am not clear in what way I can assist. Perhaps the hon. and learned Member will communicate with me.
