HC Deb 09 November 1937 vol 328 c1607W
Mr. Liddall

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he is aware that Denmark is refusing to grant import licences for British Diesel oil-engines while placing orders for similar engines with Germany, Sweden and Holland; and whether he will make representations to Denmark with a view to assisting the manufacture of oil-engines at Lincoln?

Mr. Stanley

I am informed that licences have been issued during the current year for the importation of internal combustion oil-engines from the United Kingdom into Denmark. If my hon. Friend knows of any cases where firms are not obtaining any licences and will send me details, I will have investigations made.
