HC Deb 03 May 1937 vol 323 cc803-4W
Mr. Chorlton

asked the Under-Secretary of State for India whether he has observed the great increase in exports from India, and compared them with the decrease of cotton textiles going from this country to India; and whether this is sufficiently realised in India and will be taken into account in the trade negotiations about to take place?

Mr. Butler

I am aware of the facts to which my hon. Friend refers. I have no doubt they will be taken into account, together with other relevant facts, in the coming negotiations.
