Mr. De la Bèreasked the Minister of Health whether he is aware that cases exist of manufacturers who make synthetic or semi-synthetic products labelled as genuine fruit juice, or prepared fruit juice, which contain no foundation of real fruit; and whether he will take steps to prevent such mis-description?
§ Sir K. WoodOn the facts as stated, it would appear that the matter can be dealt with by the responsible local authorities under the Food and Drugs (Adulteration) Act, 1928, and I do not think, therefore, that any special action on my part is necessary.
