§ Captain WallaceThe rate of duty payable on Shetland ponies imported into the Netherlands is 12.5 florins per head and on those imported into Belgium 172.5 francs per head. During the year I936, 159 Shetland ponies were exported from1656W expended by the Treasury in each year since 1926 for research purposes in connection with the utilisation of coal, and to whom moneys have been paid?

Great Britain to the Netherlands and 15 to Belgium. The exact value of these ponies is not known, but they were, for the most part, valued at from £5 to £10 per head. I have no information as to the amount of import duty actually paid thereon.
