HC Deb 15 March 1937 vol 321 c1662W
Mr. E. J. Williams

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he would welcome the setting up by the Council of the League of Nations of an international commission to study the question of the free distribution of raw materials, and especially that the United States of America should have a place on the commission; and what action he is prepared to take in this matter?

Viscount Cranborne

The hon. Member will be aware that a committee of experts has been set up by the League of Nations to discuss the question of equal commercial access to raw materials, and that this committee held its first meeting on 8th March. The committee includes an expert from the United States of America.
