§ Mr. EdenNegotiations are still proceeding with the Chinese Government with a view to the acquisition of the proposed site for the new Embassy. In the meantime the previous Consul-General's residence at Nanking has been specially1220W adapted as a residence for the Ambassador, who spends a considerable part of the year there.
