§ Sir K. WoodYes, Sir. I directed the alteration of the creed register in exercise of the power conferred on me by Subsection (4) of Section 71 of the Poor Law Act, 1930. The alteration directed was to conform with Sub-section (3) of the same Section, which provides that the creed of an illegitimate child under the age of 12 shall be deemed to be that of the mother.
