Mr. R. Gibson

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty how many men employed in the Royal Navy torpedo factory in Greenock had to travel to and from Alexandria and elsewhere beyond a radius of 10 miles from Greenock, respectively, daily for each of the months of 1936; and how many men similarly employed or employed otherwise in his Department in Alexandria and elsewhere beyond a radius of 10 miles from Greenock, respectively, had to travel to and from Greenock daily for each of the said months?

No men employed in the Royal Naval Torpedo Factory, Greenock, during 1936 had to travel daily from Alexandria. The numbers of men so employed during the various months of that year who had to travel daily from other places more than 10 miles from Greenock are as follow:
