Straussasked the Minister of Labour whether he is aware that in West Birmingham women and children are engaged in work in their homes which involves sewing flags on streamers of tape for Coronation celebrations at a rate of pay which provides a remuneration of 3d. per hour; whether this sweated industry falls within the terms of the Trade Boards Act; and whether he will make inquiries as to what action can be taken?
