Mr. Mitchellasked the Minister of Transport how many traffic-guard rails have been instituted in London at the present time; and if he is satisfied that they serve a useful purpose and do not cause unnecessary delay to pedestrians in reaching their destinations?
§ Mr. Hore-BelishaGuard rails are provided at 36 junctions in London in addition to continuous lengths in St. Helier Avenue, Commercial Road East and East India Dock Road. I am satisfied of their usefulness and hope to see their number increased.
