HC Deb 14 April 1937 vol 322 cc1023-4W
Mr. Short

asked the Minister of Transport whether he is aware that, owing to the rising costs of steel and other materials, the railway companies are considering the abandonment or modification of the improvement schemes scheduled under the Railway Agreement Act, 1935; whether he can state what schemes are likely to be affected; and whether the Doncaster reconstruction scheme is involved?

Mr. Hore-Belisha

I have received no application for variation or postponement. The preliminary work relating to the improvements to Doncaster Station is proceeding.
