§ Mr. BUTLERIn reply to the first part of the Noble Lady's question, my Noble Friend has no information as to whether a reply has been made by the Government of India to the memorial of the Joint Committee. My Noble Friend is not aware of the precise numerical strength of the associations represented on the Joint Committee. Such information as is available to him is to the effect that the Civil and Military Station Municipal Commission which is in contact with the Resident is of a more representative character.
