§ Mr. DAYasked the Minister of Transport whether he has made, or will make, inquiries of the railway companies in Great Britain as to whether they would be prepared to dispose of the railway lines or tracks in their possession that are, and have been, disused for a period of years; can he give an estimate of the mileage of these unused railway lines; have any of the highway authorities similarly negotiated for purchasing same; and will he give particulars?
