BROWNDuring the year 1935, 3,253 men, 1,917 women, 1,678 boys and 1,559 girls, making a total of 8,407 persons, were transferred by the Departrnent from the special areas in South Wales to employment elsewhere. The number of persons who transferred on670W their own account is not known but is believed to be considerable.
