§ Mr. E. BROWNAt 24th February, 1936, there were 2,025,021 unemployed persons aged 14 years and upwards on the registers of Employment Exchanges in Great Britain, of whom 987,045 were insured persons, aged 16–64, with claims for insurance benefit admitted or under consideration. The corresponding figures for the Borough (Walworth Road) Employment Exchange were 12,703 and 8,496 respectively.
