HC Deb 22 October 1935 vol 305 cc15-6W
Colonel WEDGWOOD

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether the draft ordinance concerning the limitation of doctors in Palestine has been submitted to, and approved by, His Majesty's Government; whether similar legislation is in operation in any British Crown Colony or Dominion; and whether he will lay the draft ordinance in the Library for inspection?

Mr. M. MacDONALD

A draft ordinance on this subject was approved by my predecessor, subject to certain suggestions for minor amendments, in January last. I am not aware of similar legislation in operation in any British Colony or Dominion. When copies of the Palestine Gazette containing the draft ordinance, as printed for public information, are received in the Colonial Office, I will arrange for a copy to be placed in the Library.
