§ Mr. GUYasked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether he will state the number of departmental class clerks 970W Grade III employed in his Department on the 1st April, 1935; on the scale with £200 per annum maximum as now consolidated; also the number of Grade III departmental class clerks on the same date with a maximum of £180 per annum as now consolidated?
Sir B. EYRES MONSELLCivil Service salaries are now consolidated, and the former maximum rates of £180 and £200 have been replaced by consolidated rates of £252 15s. and £277 16s. respectively. 907 Departmental Clerks, Grade III, are on scales rising to the former rate and 53 on scales rising to the latter.
