Sir B. EYRES MONSELL59 mates (E) have been promoted to engineer-commander. 12 lieut.-commanders ex-lower deck have been promoted to commander to date. The number of lieut.-commanders ex-lower deck in the promotion zone on 31st December 1934, was 22. These officers were considered for pro 1591W motion on their merits together with all other officers in the zone. In the future, as in the past, officers promoted from the lower deck will be considered on their merits as officers in the same way as all other officers in the promotion zone.
