COLLINSI am informed by the company who own the steel houses at Sandyhills that there is a demand on the part of some tenants to have electric light put into their houses, but, as considerable expenditure has already been incurred in the fitting up of these houses with gas for lighting and cooking, I regret that I cannot meantime see my way to approve expenditure by the company on the installation of electricity.

COLLINSThe fixing of the rents of these houses is a matter for the company who, in terms of their agreement with the Department of Health for Scotland, are required to fix the rent by reference to the rents charged for similar accommodation in the district.
