HC Deb 09 November 1934 vol 293 c1430W
Captain ERSKINE-BOLST

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether any colony has instituted a quota of British films and, at the same time, given effect to such quota?

Sir P. CUNLIFFE-LISTER

Film quota legislation has been enacted in Trinidad and British Guiana and in the Presidency of Saint Christopher and Nevis, though it has not yet been brought into force. Arrangements have been made for the Trinidad Ordinance to enter into force on 1st January, 1935.
