asked the Under-Secretary of State for Air what local authorities have provided air ports or aerodromes in their respective districts, and what local authorities have formulated schemes for doing so?

Nineteen licensed aerodromes have been provided by local authorities, as follow : Blackpool, Bristol, Cardiff, Carlisle, Doncaster, Hull, Inverness, Ipswich, Leeds-Bradford, Liverpool, Manchester, Norwich, Nottingham, Plymouth, Portsmouth, Renfrew, Southampton, Stoke-on-Trent, and Walsall. Sites for aerodromes have been purchased by Brighton-Hove-Worthing (in conjunction), Hastings, Leicester, Rochester and Southport, and a number of other local authorities have proposals for the establishment of aerodromes under active consideration.
