Mr. T. MORRISasked the Minister of Health whether his attention has been called to the effect of the drought on the stability of projecting, copings and other sections of dwelling and business houses; and whether he will suggest to local 1283W authorities the desirability of issuing a general warning to property owners on the subject.
Sir H. YOUNGMy attention has not been called to this matter, nor am I aware that special trouble has arisen. I do not think that the measure suggested is needed since local authorities already have power to take action if any building or wall is dangerous to passers-by or to the occupants.
