§ Mr. JOELasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer the effect which has been given in each case to the criticisms by the Public Accounts Committee in its last report of aspects of Government expenditure with which it did not agree and which it did not approve?
Mr. CHAMBERLAINThe report, which was published on 7th July, will be examined by the Treasury in consultation with the Departments concerned. A Treasury Minute indicating the action on the various matters dealt with in the report will be laid before the Committee, and in accordance with the usual procedure will, no doubt, be published by the Committee with their main report of next Session.
