§ Captain DOWER
asked the Under-Secretary of State for Air what further progress has been made during the past two months with regard to the provision of a British commercial air service to China; and whether, in view of the anxiety of the Manchester Chamber of Commerce and other British trade organisations that such facilities should be available at the earliest possible date, he will ensure that there shall be no delay 1327W on account of the need for assistance, financial or otherwise, in his Department?
§ Sir P. SASSOON
The matter is still under active consideration, but I am not yet in a position to make any statement. The points raised in the second part of the question will, of course, be borne in mind.
