§ Dr. BURGINI am aware of the rise in the price of bacon. The quantity of bacon to be imported from foreign countries in the current period ending on 28th February was arranged with due regard to anticipated home and Empire supplies, and I have no ground for believing that such supplies will fall short of their expected volume, or that there is any need to depart from the existing arrangements.
