§ Mr. GOLDIEasked the Postmaster-General whether, with a view to the suppression of bogus telegrams, he is prepared to introduce legislation amending Section 11 of the Post Office (Protection) Act, 1884, so as to make it a criminal offence to despatch a telegram the contents whereof are, to the knowledge of the sender, false with intent to cause damage, anxiety, or inconvenience to the recipient thereof?
§ Sir K. WOODI will consider my hon. Friend's suggestion when a suitable opportunity arises; but I regret that there is no prospect in any case of introducing amending legislation during the present Session.
