§ Mr. GROVESasked the Minister of Health whether his attention he been 1394W called to cases that have occurred of anaphylaxis due to the injection of toxin antitoxin; and whether, in view of the use in this country of toxoid antitoxin for diphtheria immunisation, he will take steps to safeguard the public against possible similar results of such injections?
Sir H. YOUNGThe answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. With regard to the second part, anaphylaxis is not a phenomenon peculiar to diphtheria immunisation. I am advised that the relevant facts are widely recognised, and I do not consider it necessary to take any special action in the matter.
