§ Dr. BURGINTwo insurance companies which did motor vehicle insurance business have gone into liquidation in the last 12 months, the approximate number of policies in force at the date of the winding-up orders being 128,000. As regards the policies, I would point out that in the winding-up of an insurance company a policy-holder has the right to prove for the unexpired portion of the premium paid by him in respect of motor vehicle insurance, and that claims arising under the policies before the date of the winding-up order rank for dividend.
