HC Deb 30 November 1933 vol 283 c1064W
Mr. PARKINSON

asked the Minister of Health whether he has yet notified the National Health Insurance approved societies that the period for the payment of arrears has been extended until 31st March, 1934; and; whether any penalty will fall upon those members who do not pay their arrears before 31st December, 1933, but pay their arrears before 31st March, 1934?

Sir H. YOUNG

A circular on the subject referred to in the first part of the hon. Member's question has been sent to every approved society. As regards the second part of the question, no penalty will attach to the persons in question other than the application of the general rule that an interval of 28 days must elapse between the date of payment of arrears and the consequent revision of the insured person's benefit rates.
