§ Mr. RAMSBOTHAMThe quarterly payment of teachers' pensions is required by Clause 7 (1) of the First Schedule of the Teachers (Superannuation) Act, 1925, and corresponding provisions of earlier Acts. The Acts give no discretion to my Noble Friend to vary this provision. Experience does not suggest that any inconveniences or dangers which may be involved are such as to call for the introduction of legislation for the amendment of this provision.
