HC Deb 25 May 1933 vol 278 cc1282-3W

asked the Minister of Labour what reply he has made to the communication sent to him from the National Union of Distributive and Allied Workers calling his attention to the fact that a number of members of that trade union have lost their employment in the offices of Anglo-Russian companies operating in this country consequent upon the embargo put up against Russian goods?

A letter to this effect was received by me from the political general secretary of this society on 23rd May. As the letter asks for a reversal of the policy which has been approved by this House, I am afraid I can do no more than acknowledge its receipt.
