§ Mr. RHYS DAVIESasked the Home Secretary when it is proposed to bring in legislation to prevent the sale of dangerous toy pistols?
§ Sir J. GILMOURAs I indicated in reply to a question on 16th February, new legislation, which is at present under my consideration, is contemplated not to deal specifically with the sale of dangerous toy pistols, but directed to the provision of special penalties on persons who, when engaged in the commission of crime, are found in possession of firearms or colourable imitations of firearms. A Bill for this purpose is in draft but I am not in a position to say whether, in view of the state of Parliamentary business, time can be found this Session to deal with this matter.
