§ Mr. BRACKENasked the Home Secretary whether, in view of the discontent aroused by proceedings in coroners' courts, he will appoint a Departmental Committee to review the powers and functions of Coroners?
§ Sir J. GILMOUR:I am aware that from time to time the conduct of inquests by coroners has been the subject of criticism, but, as at present advised, I do not think it is necessary to appoint a Departmental Committee as suggested by my hon. Friend.
