HC Deb 21 December 1933 vol 284 c1479W
Mr. O. G. SOMERVILLE

asked the First Commissioner of Works what was the reason for discontinuing the central heating arrangements under the Outer Lobby and St. Stephen's Hall; and whether he will arrange, in view of the present cold-weather conditions, to reinstate some form of heating?

Mr. ORMSBY-GORE

There has been no discontinuance of the heating arrangements in any part of the building. The lowering of the temperature in St. Stephen's Hall and the Outer Lobby was entirely due to the cold windy weather, and to the continuous opening of the outer doors.
