Mr. CHAMBERLAINOn the assumption made in the Financial Memorandum on the Bill as to the cost of the transferred services in the standard year, the extra cost to the Exchequer of reducing the contributions of local authorities from 60 per cent, to 40 per cent. would be £1,300,000 a year until 31st March, 7937.
