asked the President of the Board of Trade (1) if he is aware that the Danish Government have increased the duties on British hats over 100 per cent., and that this increase came into operation a few days ago; and will he make representations to the Danish Government regarding this increase;

(2) if he is aware that orders for British hats booked at the exhibition at Copenhagen are excepted from the general rule that orders booked at that exhibition if shipped during this year are free from the new duties; and if he will make representations that these orders may be imported into Denmark free of duty?
